We meet at Elmbridge Canoe Club on Tuesdays all year, and Thursdays in the winter, at 7.00p.m
During the summer, on Thursdays, we meet at West End (Esher) by the pond and run in the woods. On weekends we organise add hock runs. You are welcome to join in with no commitment to join, for a few runs. Just turn up and say hello to anyone who looks like a runner. There are around 70 members, both male and female, of mixed ability who typically run 5 to 8 miles.
Some nights we just jog around the streets or on the river towpath (when it’s light enough) and sometimes a group may do mile reps or similar.
During the summer we have a handicap race series on the river towpath and relay races in nearby Oxshott woods. We also have a Trophy series using a selection of fairly local races. During the winter we take part in the Surrey cross country races.
The membership is just £20 for a year which includes entry to the Canoe club house and all the facilities (showers, Kitchen etc.) Club kit is available in the form of running shirts and shorts, reflective bibs, t-shirts, tracksters and sweatshirts.
